MinistriesChristian Fellowship is a necessary ingredient of our church. For everyone of every age, the church need not be just a Sunday experience. What follows is a sampling of the activities of the Alexandria United Methodist Church. Whether you are married or single, a man or woman of any age, student or a child, we have a ministry for you. ChildrenEducationVacation Bible SchoolYouthYoung people grades six through twelve are encouraged to participate in the Methodist Youth Fellowship. The students are divided into Junior High and Senior High and have activities each Sunday evening encompassing social activities, visitation of the shut-in of our congregation at special times of the year with 'goodies' and smiles, and special studies of interest to their particular age groups. There have been Bike-a-thons,Rock-a-thons, car washes, etc... Youth GroupMeets every Wednesday night at 6:30 pm.Youth Forms

Form Mission TripsAdultChristian EducationOur Christian Education program provide a learning environment for weekly Biblical study in different styles. In addition to school age level classes for children and youth, we have a variety of adult classes for all ages and interests. If you have an comments or questions, please contact Linda Blythe or Sonda Cummins.United Methodist WomenThe United Methodist Women have two Circles now engaged in the general work, as outlined by the Conference. Meeting places and times are announced on the Home page, the bulletin and newsletter.
Men's Accountability Group (MAG)This group meets every Wednesday Evening from 8:30 pm until 9:30 pm. This is an opportunity to join with other men with the objective of holding each other accountable. Men's Prayer BreakfastFor many, many years the men of our Church have sponsored a Men's Prayer Breakfast at the church. It includes men who attend our Church, as well as those from other congregations. It is open to all. There is fellowship, prayer and usually a good "harvest-hand" breakfast. Men and Boys are invited.Small GroupsChoirThe Chancel Choir meets each Thursday night at 7:00 pm to rehearse service music for the 9:30 am worship service.Handbell ChoirMissions
Special EventsThroughout the year, the congregation is able to join in Christian Fellowship by participating in many special events: "potluck" suppers, Christmas caroling, the decorating of the "Christmas Tree", Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Breakfast, ice cream socials, youth camps, Vacation Bible School, Youth Events / study week (Junior High and Senior High) and Harvest party, just to name a few. Fellowship HallLocated on the lower level of the Church Building, Fellowship Hall accommodates 275 people comfortably. If needed, Sunday School rooms can be used for additional seating for large functions.We look forward to many uses for this hall - receptions, plays, meeting space, pot luck dinners, craft work area, games for young and old, and middle-aged too.
